Privacy Policy
Sofa King: Rekt is published by Your Skin Matters. Contact: support@sofakingrekt.com.
This policy explains how the app handles data. Sofa King: Rekt is designed as a native iOS arcade game with local saves, optional local inactivity reminders, optional Apple Game Center, optional in-app purchases, gameplay banner ads, game-over interstitial ads, and opt-in rewarded ads.
Summary
- We do not require an account.
- We do not operate a game backend or cloud save service.
- We do not request iOS location permission, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, calendar, or health access.
- We store gameplay progress, settings, cosmetics, shard balances, purchase entitlements, and ad timing data on your device.
- Optional inactivity reminders are local iOS notifications. We do not operate a remote push notification server.
- Apple services process purchases, Game Center sign-in, leaderboard activity, achievements, and sharing when you choose to use those features.
- Google Mobile Ads may process ad-related data when ads are enabled.
Data Stored On Your Device
The app saves local game data so the game can work between sessions. This includes scores, run counts, death counts, daily challenge dates, play streak, shard balances, unlocked cosmetics, equipped cosmetics, purchase entitlement state, achievement progress, settings, and recent ad timing metadata.
This local data stays on your device unless an Apple or Google service involved in a feature separately processes related information. You can reset local gameplay data from Settings.
Apple Services
StoreKit handles in-app purchases, purchase restoration, transaction verification, and App Store payment flows. The app receives purchase results and entitlement status so it can unlock cosmetics, shards, bundles, or ad removal.
Game Center is optional. If you sign in through Apple, Game Center may process leaderboard scores, achievement progress, player identifiers, and related account information under Apple's terms and privacy practices. Gameplay still works without Game Center.
The iOS share sheet is optional. The app creates a share card only when you tap the share button. You choose whether and where to share it.
Local Notifications
The optional reminder primer intentionally uses generic notification copy before any system permission prompt. If allowed, the app schedules one local reminder after 3 days away, opening the game cancels it, reminders have no tracking or remote push server, and the setting can be turned off later.
The real iOS notification permission prompt appears only if you tap Allow Notifications in the primer or turn on 3-Day Reminders in Settings. If allowed, reminder state stays on your device. Sofa King: Rekt does not use a remote push notification server and does not collect app-owned data for reminders.
You can turn reminders off in the app's Settings screen and can manage or disable notification permission in iOS Settings.
Ads
Sofa King: Rekt may use Google Mobile Ads to show a small bottom banner during active gameplay, interstitial ads after game-over screens, and rewarded ads that you choose to watch for cosmetic currency. Rewarded ads do not grant continues or leaderboard advantages.
When ads are enabled, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device identifiers, IP address or network information used to estimate general location, ad interaction data, diagnostic data, consent signals, and fraud prevention signals. Your choices may affect whether ads are personalized where personalization is available and legally permitted.
The app refreshes Google's User Messaging Platform consent information on launch. When Google reports that a privacy options entry point is required, Settings shows Privacy Options, which opens Google's in-app choices form.
If iOS asks for App Tracking Transparency permission and you allow it, advertising identifiers may be used for ad tracking as described in the App Store privacy information and Google's advertising disclosures. If you decline, the app still keeps gameplay available and ad requests remain subject to consent, entitlement, and regional policy gates.
We do not receive or store a Google advertising profile in our own backend. Remove Ads and Founder Bundle entitlements disable automatic banner and interstitial ads in the app.
Permissions
The current app does not request iOS permission prompts for location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, calendar, reminders, Bluetooth, motion, or health. Notification permission is optional and is requested only after you choose to allow local inactivity reminders from the in-app primer or Settings.
Apple notification permission, purchase dialogs, Game Center sign-in, the iOS share sheet, and any required ad consent or App Tracking Transparency dialogs are system or third-party controlled flows that appear only when the related feature is used or required.
Children
The app is intended as a general audience arcade game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own backend. If you believe a child provided personal information through a support request, contact support@sofakingrekt.com so it can be reviewed.
Your Choices
- Play without creating an account.
- Decline Game Center sign-in.
- Avoid optional rewarded ads.
- Buy Remove Ads or Founder Bundle to disable automatic banner and interstitial ads.
- Use Settings > Privacy Options when shown to review required Google ad privacy choices in the app.
- Turn off inactivity reminders in app Settings or iOS Settings.
- Reset local gameplay stats in Settings.
- Delete the app to remove app data stored on the device.
- Manage Apple Game Center, App Store, notification, and advertising settings through iOS settings.
Data Retention
Local game data remains on your device until you reset it, delete the app, or the app replaces it during normal save-file migration. Apple and Google retain data according to their own policies for the services they provide.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app changes. Material changes should be reflected in the app and in the App Store privacy information before release.
